What to wear for your boudoir shoot?

Anything! Nothing! Whatever you want!

What I love most about boudoir, is its not about the clothing you are or aren't wearing. It's all about you. How you feel in your own skin and how you hold yourself. Unlike some other forms of photography, boudoir completely revolves around you as the subject and nothing else.

With that in mind, you don’t need to purchase brand new lingerie, YOU are what is impressive, not what you are wearing. If you want to wear something new and fun then do it, I love that for you! Who doesn’t love rocking a new item that makes them feel a little extra badass? However I never want anyone to feel that they must bring something new and fancy. Wearing a normal bra & undies, oversized shirt or nothing is completely up to you & your level of comfort. You are the art, and whatever makes you feel as such is what I would love for you to rock for your shoot.

Now, I know none of this really answers the question of "ok cool...but what do I wear?!" and if you are at a loss for what to bring I always have satin robes on hand for my clients that can be used as an outfit. Along with the robes, lots of clients have used the "between the sheets" option to use the satin sheets themselves as a garment for a more implied nudity look. So the simplest answer is really, wear what you love and makes you feel good about yourself. In the end the camera is going to see your confidence & energy shine through, and that’s what we're here for.
